Social Studio privacy policy
Last changed: 31 October 2026.
Social Studio is an internal tool of Knalgeel, Groningen, the Netherlands, used to post to and read the numbers of the social media accounts of its own brands, such as Bonk Machines. Only people with an account given by the administrator can use it.
What it stores
- The login of each user: email address and a hashed password.
- For each connected social media account (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok): its id and name, the access token the brand gave it, stored encrypted, and the numbers the platform reports, such as followers, views, reach, watch time and interactions per post.
- The posts made through the app: caption, time and the link to the post.
- A video only for the minutes a platform needs to fetch it while it is posted; it is deleted right after.
What it does with it
The numbers are used to show how the brand's posts perform and to advise on the next posts. Advice is written by Claude, a service of Anthropic, which receives the numbers and captions of the brand's own posts for that purpose. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising. The app reads no data of other people's accounts.
Where it is kept
On DigitalOcean servers in Amsterdam (database and file storage). Access tokens can be withdrawn at any time in the platform's own settings; a brand's data is removed when the brand is removed from the app.
Google and YouTube
For YouTube, Social Studio uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at Google security settings.
